"God setteth the solitary in families.." Psalm 68:6In a downtown area one day, an unshaven ex-con walked up to me and said, "Miss, you look friendly", and with that he began to tell me the sad story of his life.
When he finished, he asked plaintively, "will you do something for me? "
"Yes, if i can, " i replied..
"Well, miss," the man began, "not a soul in the world cares if i live or die. So would you mind just thinking of me for a couple of weeks?
If i could think someone, somewhere was thinking about me as a human being, why~ it would be worth so much to me.."
Millions of people feel like this poor, lonely man. They long to feel loved, to really belong,to know that someone does really cares whether they live or die. But there is good news~through faith in Jesus, we literally become His children. And with this comes that good feeling of belonging..
Talk daily to Him..Share your joys and sorrows with Him. He in turn will share His peace, His love with you..And you know that you truly belong..
Psalms 121 (120):
I lift my eyes to the mountains~
from where shall come my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
maker of heaven and earth..
The Lord is your guardian, the Lord is at your side and you in His shade;
Sunstroke will not be for you by day,
nor the spell of the moon by night.
